How we work together

What we provide

Soch Online Academy provides academic support services: one-to-one mentorship, concept coaching, research guidance, planning help and feedback on drafts for IB and HND students and other learners. Our services are educational. They are designed to improve your understanding and your own work.

Academic integrity

This is the most important part of these terms, so it comes first. We do not write essays, assignments, investigations, projects or any other assessed work for submission by a student. We do not produce work intended to be passed off as a student's own. Our mentors give guidance, explanations, planning help and feedback; the ideas, research, writing and analysis in anything you submit must be yours.

• You agree to use our support in line with your school's, college's and awarding body's rules on outside help and academic honesty.
• If your institution requires you to declare outside help, you are responsible for doing so.
• If a request would cross an academic honesty line, we will decline it and offer the honest alternative. Declined requests are not a breach of these terms and are not charged.
• We may end support, without refund of work already delivered, if a student uses our guidance to breach academic honesty rules.

Arranging support

• Support begins when we have agreed the scope, the timeline and the price in writing (WhatsApp counts as writing) and any agreed payment has been made.
• Prices are quoted before work starts and do not change unless the scope changes, which we will also agree in writing.
• Timelines depend on you sharing the materials we need (briefs, titles, drafts, deadlines) promptly. If you are late providing materials, agreed return dates may move.

Sessions and feedback

• Sessions are delivered online at agreed times. Please give at least 12 hours' notice to reschedule; a session missed without notice may be charged.
• Draft feedback is returned within the time agreed when you send the draft, typically two to three days.
• Feedback is guidance. Decisions about what to change remain yours.

Payments, refunds and revisions

Payment methods and timing are agreed when support is arranged. Our Refund and Revision Policy explains what happens if something goes wrong, including our satisfaction commitment on sessions and how revisions to feedback work.

No guarantee of grades

We are confident in the value of good mentorship, but grades are awarded by schools, colleges and examining bodies, and depend on your own work. We make no promise of any particular grade or outcome.

Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information about your program, task and deadline.
• Treat mentors with respect. We will do the same for you.
• Keep your own copies of your work. We are not responsible for lost files.

Intellectual property

Resources, guides and materials we create remain ours, and you may use them for your own study. Your work remains yours. We will not reuse your work or share it with anyone else.

This website

The content of this website is provided for information. We try to keep it accurate and up to date, but it does not replace the official guidance published by the IB, Pearson or your institution, which always takes precedence.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
